RoHS Directive 2015/863 (RoHS3)
At Vimpex Ltd, we are committed to protecting the environment and ensuring that our products are safe for our customers to use. In support of this commitment, we have implemented a policy to comply with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.
The RoHS directive aims to reduce the amount of hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment to minimise their impact on human health and the environment.
This directive restricts the use of the following ten hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE):
1. Lead (Pb)
2. Mercury (Hg)
3. Cadmium (Cd)
4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr⁶⁺)
5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
6. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
7. Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
8. Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)
9. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
10. Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
All products provided by Vimpex Ltd. contain levels of these substances below the maximum allowed concentrations (typically 0.1% by weight, or 0.01% for cadmium), unless otherwise exempt under the RoHS directive.
We continuously monitor our supply chain to ensure ongoing compliance and require that our suppliers provide declarations and/or testing reports upon request.
At Vimpex Ltd, we believe that our commitment to compliance with RoHS is an essential part of our environmental responsibility and our dedication to providing safe and sustainable products to our customers.
