Josh Penny, Sales & Service Representative for our Rescue & Industrial division, has returned from Paratech's training programme with two new certifications under his belt — Paratech product training and Paratech sales training.
It is a notable double for Josh and a reflection of our continued investment in the technical knowledge of the people who deal with our customers every day.
Hands-on with the kit
Vimpex has been the exclusive UK distributor for Paratech since 2012. Their rescue support struts, MaxiForce G2 air-lifting bags, Pry-Axe forcible entry tool, marine damage control shoring and vehicle stabilisation kits are in service with London Fire Brigade and many other UK Fire & Rescue Services.
The training programme — delivered by Paratech directly — covers the practical application of the full rescue toolset and the commercial considerations behind specifying it. For Josh, that means he now combines deep product knowledge with the experience of having handled the equipment in a structured training environment.
What this means for customers
The Vimpex approach has always been that people who answer the phone should know the kit. Continued investment in technical training, manufacturer accreditation and product familiarity is part of how we make good on that.
For UK Fire & Rescue Services, distributors and procurement teams working with Vimpex on technical rescue, it means a single point of contact who can talk credibly through both the product detail and the operational context — not just investing in technical expertise: Josh returns from Paratech with dual certification.
