Vimpex is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a place on the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) National Firefighter PPE Framework for the supply of structural fire helmets and lightweight technical rescue helmets.
Following a rigorous procurement process, Vimpex has been successfully appointed to Lot 2 – Helmets, reinforcing its position as a trusted supplier to the UK emergency services sector.
James Jones, Managing Director at Vimpex, commented:
“Securing a place on the NFCC PPE Framework for helmets is a major milestone for Vimpex. It validates both the quality of our product offering and the strength of our operational delivery capability.
We are committed to supporting Fire and Rescue Services with reliable, high-performance solutions and will continue to invest in innovation and continuous improvement to meet the evolving needs of the sector.”
The award covers the supply of PAB structural firefighting helmets, designed to deliver high levels of protection, durability, and ease of maintenance, alongside lightweight technical rescue helmets engineered for versatility, comfort, and operational performance across a wide range of rescue scenarios.
The NFCC PPE Framework represents a nationally coordinated approach to the procurement of firefighter personal protective equipment, ensuring that Fire and Rescue Services across the UK have access to high-quality, compliant, and operationally effective products. Appointment to the framework follows a detailed evaluation across quality, technical compliance, logistics capability, and wearer trials.
Vimpex has a well-established track record of supplying specialist equipment to emergency services, supported by robust logistics, strong supplier relationships, and a focus on quality and service delivery. The company’s helmet range has been developed in partnership with leading manufacturers and informed by extensive operational feedback.
Carl Gough, Business Development Manager at Vimpex, added:
“This was a lengthy and rigorous procurement process, so to come through as an approved supplier is a strong endorsement of our products and our capability. It gives us real confidence in our helmet range, and we’re looking forward to supporting Fire and Rescue Services through the framework.”
With the framework now moving towards implementation, Vimpex looks forward to working closely with Fire and Rescue Services across the UK to support their operational requirements and deliver high-quality helmet solutions through the new agreement.
